I remember as a child my mother taking me to a gallery, oddly very large from what I can remember.
The gallery had so much work in it, so full of people. We spent a day there and at the end of our stay we arrived to some sculptures and paintings. I remember them scaring me. My mother explained, telling me to never focus on what is around me, never let the negativity defuse my vision. This woman expresses her self fully without leaving any detail. Of course it didn't make sense to me right away.
I'm at a place now where I fully understand and am very grateful to have be so influenced by her work and my mother of course :)
Louise Bourgeois's work to me gave one simple explanation
To simply never color inside the lines.
Here are some
photographs of her brilliant works
Please feel free to give her an online search, her work is truly amazing.
